Create Your ✱ Home Note:

Start by setting up your ✱ Home note. Organize and link your most important notes under different sections of your choice. This will serve as your central hub for everything.

Evaluate and Organize Tags:

Check the existing tags in your Apple Notes. Decide which tags deserve their own ✱ Collection and create Smart Folders for those. For other tags, you can leave them as they are.

Create ✱ Hubs and Link Notes:

Build ✱ Hubs for broader categories and link them from your ✱ Home note. Review your existing notes and add a ✱ Backlink to the appropriate ✱ Hub. Once you add the ✱ Backlink, click on the link and in the relevant section of the ✱ Hub note, type ">>" to link the note (it will appear at the top of the popup list). Repeat this process for any legacy notes you want connected to a ✱ Hub.

Tip:

If you have hundreds of notes, this can be time-consuming. You might want to do this gradually, starting with the most important notes, and migrate the rest as needed.
